Our Story

Founded in 2022, with foundations in the ocean, SEA-WTR is a new and alternative bottled-water brand created by Connor Duggan. With a focus on sustainability and not taking away from the planet's limited freshwater supply, SEA-WTR aims to create its water by taking it out of the sea. As 97% of the earth's water supply is seawater, SEA-WTR hopes to become one of the first bottled-water companies virtually drought-proof.

SEA-WTR's alternative method of creating its water supply is based on the 19th-century patent to create noncorroding waters for steamships. However, today, desalination is primarily used to make fresh drinking water worldwide. The desalination process SEA-WTR uses is Reverse Osmosis or RO. Through RO, seawater is forced through membranes at high pressures. This membrane separates particles like salt, bacteria, and other unwanted items from the water. This process creates fresh drinking water and high-salinity water, which Dagda Innovations wants to reuse through different recycling methods. The remaining fresh water is then enhanced with minerals and electrolytes, canned in an infinitely recyclable aluminum container, and sold nationwide.

Founder and President

A recent graduate from Providence College School of Business, Connor realized he wanted to create his own company during his first year. When creating a hypothetical business, Connor learned the necessities of starting a business. However, it was not until that summer that his mother pushed Connor's creativity by suggesting he identify a problem and work to fix it.

With this focus on trying to solve a problem, Connor realized the issues with water scarcity while working at his summer camp in Kennebunk, Maine. While sitting by the beach, Connor saw the opportunity to solve water scarcity through desalination. After realizing its potential, Connor decided to grow its knowledge of desalination by creating a bottled-water brand. With that, the SEA-WTR brand took shape.
